It's Adventure!

adventureA huge network of bridleways, crashing breakers, full-on headwinds and diverse terrain - the Isle of Wight is made for an adventure holiday. It will challenge you. It will entertain you. It will leave you feeling on top of the world.

A stunning coastline and a warm climate, the Isle of Wight is the perfect outdoor-activity playground with something for everyone all year round. Safe, and with the best instructors around, it's the ideal place to try something new.

We've riding, walking and biking for all levels. There's 165 miles of safe bridleways for hacking. There's over 500 miles of well-kept footpaths for rambling. And you've loads of off-road mountain biking routes, all mapped out and waiting to be discovered.

There are lots of ways to see the Island by land or from the air and have great fun doing it. When you've worked up a sweat take to the sea - we've top-registered schools offering more extreme sports that will test your skill and nerve.

To add even more spice, time your trip to coincide with a world-acclaimed event. Every year we host Cowes Week, Round the Island Yacht Race, Cowes Classic Powerboat Festival and the Wight Diamond Festival. And extreme sporting events don't come any bigger than the White Air Extreme Sports Festival with wavesailing, slalom windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing.

Fast and skillful, the increasingly popular beach football is another sport that's attracting attention on the Island. With teams from across the UK and abroad travelling to compete throughout the summer, it's one to watch.

Think adventure. Think challenges. Think Isle of Wight.
